Underground Talent of the Week: George Watsky

Many may not know of the man above but one phrase that I'm sure people can agree with when referring to Watsky is "Looks can be deceiving". For one he's a lot older than what you may think (27 to be exact), and secondly George isn't your typical Rapper. His talents branch out from acting, to writing, from poetry, to music; and his delivery can be somewhat comical at times. Making his face known years ago on HBO's"Def Poetry", hosted by Russell Simons, Watsky showed how his poetry slam skills can easily be relayed into rap.

The San Francisco native began to receive notoriety for his poetry skills back in 2006 but has just now branched and received attention for being a rapper in the music world. George does actually have a couple albums out as well as does tours for his fans that knows of his ample amounts of work over the years, whether rap or poetry. Slight warning though, be prepared to listen carefully as he tends to rap a smidge faster than most MC's.
